Something More Exciting

A few years ago, through the air I would fly.

I loved to be up there... I jumped from the sky.

But as I got older the thought of descending

appealed to me less... not the flight but its ending.

They say cats have 9 lives, and I've used up five.

Each day I thank God that I'm still alive.

Perhaps I'd been good as a racing car driver

for with all that has happened I've been a survivor.

Living life on the edge is exciting to me,

and it leaves room for others to live and be free.

Now I love to ski fast, and drive cars even faster,

in both carving turns... and avoiding disaster.

But the best thrill of all, the thrill of my life

is to be with Danielle my wonderful wife.
