The City Mission Fresh Air Home at Bronte, four miles west of Oakville, was used as a home for the first few years. Then the Haven for Homeless Little Ones, Inc., was established at 2 Endean Ave., Toronto, Ontario. By 1914, Mrs. Wallis had established a home at 875 Palmerston Ave., Toronto, Ontario. The government inspector said there were 40 children under the homes care when he made his visit in 1913.
Mrs. Wallis discontinued her work in 1915. By that time about 50 children had come to Canada under her care.
A list of children has been extracted from the records at the Library and Archives of Canada.
