Pady had no receiving home in Canada, which was against government regulations. To cover himself he gave the address of his son in Emerson, Manitoba as his receiving home.
Children were sent to Quebec, Manitoba and Ontario. However, in 1896 the government put a stop to Pady's work. By this time over 100 children had come to Canada under Pady's auspicious.
